Challenge Description
High-performance composite components are used in many areas. Due to the two-dimensional load application, bonding is a frequently used joining technique. The challenge is to investigate joining techniques for product design that enable a reduction of material usage and/or detachable joints.
Objectives:
- Guideline for resource-efficient construction methods
- Reduction of material use (e.g. through frictional/positive connections)
- Detachable connection techniques for more efficient recycling
