Focus Challenges:Tools and Innovations for Urban Mining and Reuse Logistics Examining how we can enhance the efficiency of material recovery from existing buildings and optimize logistics for reuse, from inventory management to material tracking.Rethink Education Towards ReUse Exploring new educational models to teach the skills essential for reuse, including deconstruction techniques, effective logistics, and reuse-oriented construction.Technical Reuse Innovation – Multiple Loops, No End of Life Developing products and methods to extend their lifecycle through multiple reuse cycles, ensuring that building materials and components are continuously repurposed, creating a circular flow without waste.What to expectDive into a hands-on workshop featuring a challenge deep dive, followed by insights from an inspiring guest speaker. Engage in two interactive ideation rounds: the first to explore challenges and brainstorm innovative solutions, and the second to refine standout ideas and develop actionable plans. Connect with like-minded professionals and discover how your ideas could receive funding through the Booster Program.Who Should attend This workshop is designed for individuals and organizations passionate about advancing reuse in the construction industry. Whether you’re a Swiss company (start-up, SME, or corporate), a non-profit organization (public institution, NGO, etc.), or part of a research group, you’re welcome to join us!We especially encourage participation from those interested in exploring, developing, and refining ideas for products, services, processes, or business models that drive systemic and impactful change in the circular building industry.Be part of this collaborative workshop and contribute to driving innovation and developing practical solutions for reuse in the construction industry!Participants of the workshop can submit their idea to the CBI Booster by 9th of April 2025 for a chance to receive 20’000 CHF in funding.
