2024 in Review: Highlights from the Switzerland Innovation Park Zurich
The 2024 Annual Report is out – and what a year it’s been! From breakthroughs in space and mobility to creative AI and vibrant campus life, the Innovation Park has been buzzing with innovation and collaboration.
🔹 Universität Zürich | University of Zurich Space Hub moved into refurbished Hangar 4 – bringing together 35+ research groups from Earth Observation, biomedicine, and astrophysics.
🔹 ETH Zürich expanded Hangar 3 – with new spaces for hands-on learning, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and co-creation between academia and industry.
🔹 Starlab Space signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish its European base here – one of only three planned global sites.
🔹 New infrastructure: the EuroTube DemoTube was activated to test Hyperloop and vacuum-based tech.
🔹 A lively calendar: European Hyperloop Week, AI Song Contest, AI + Environment Summit, Hardware Meetups, Innovate Mobility and an exhibition featuring images from space.
🔹 The campus community grew stronger – with over 50 expert teams on site, thriving student initiatives, and shared spaces that foster exchange, curiosity, and impact.
🔹 Online visibility soared – LinkedIn impressions and engagement more than doubled.
