An iconic fashion piece made sustainable
The Challenge
Jeans have a massive negative ecological impact
one pair of jeans:
- 4000 liters of water
- 33 Kg carbon footprint
- 750g of toxic chemicals
At present, the prevailing opinion in the spinning industry is, that only short hemp fibers can be spun in a ring spinning process. However, this process cannot produce durable 100% hemp fabrics. The big brands like Levi’s, Nudy, Diesel utilize blends (60%CO, 40%HE).
Our solution
- we buy bio certified hemp fibers
- with our exclusive production process, we dry spin soft and light hemp yarn
- the weft is eco friendly dyed
- the dry spun 100% hemp yarn is woven into a smooth, soft and durable denim
- our designers’ creations transform the denim into stylish jeans
