Financial incentive for using HempLime (Hanfkalk) as a building material

Project Idea Metadata

Project Idea Description

Building with HempLime can provide CO2 credits for a tax incentive because HempLime is a carbon-negative building material and absorbs approx. 0.027 tCO2eq/m3. This means that the process of manufacturing and using HempLime actually removes more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than it emits, resulting in a net reduction of greenhouse gases.

We would like to investigate the possibility of making this a real incentive for people through the tokenization of the sequestered carbon which could be traded for Fiat currency or used for in store purchases through our network of natural builders and suppliers.

The idea is to create a financial incentive for people to choose Hemplime as their materials of choice. The incentive comes in the form of trading the carbon credits earned by using HempLime for real money or tax deductions.
