Indoor Localisation using embedded hardware and WLAN

Project Idea Metadata

Project Idea Description

SCHURTER’s first smart products, the Smart Connector DS11 and Smart Connector DT31 have been launched recently. These smart power entry modules integrate with the SCHURTER Smart Ecosystem, which consists of a Cloud hosting several micro services.

Two previous master thesis analyzed the suitability of the Smart Connector hardware to be used as indoor localization platform and already identified high potential and solved various technical challenges.

This next project focuses on building a prototype based on the outcomes of the previous projects. It proposes the interface between the cloud and the embedded system and demonstrates the localization in a real world environment.
