Project Idea Description

AI and ML implementations could provide accelerated product development times, faster R&D feedback loops between planning, evaluation, and iteration, and greater overall control over the design ability of new components, materials, & products.

The challenge of this proposal consists in exploring the application of AI and ML in design novel functional nanocoating based on the so-called layer-by-layer approach. Methodology for modelling, analysis, and properties prediction techniques shall be identified and, possibly, validated against a real scenario, i.e. new Layer-by-Layer super oleophobic nanocoating.
